A Tale. A Dream Tale.

So it was this one fine day in Jakarta. Saturday. I dialed iBox Menteng's number and make an appointment to have a Mac Training. I've just bought a new Macbook White :p

The driver, and the car were all set. It's still the blue Honda Jazz i got on grade 7. So we ran through the empty streets to Menteng. Finally I saw a signpost: iBox. I got there at 5 pm. I pulled the glass door and get inside.

An employee came and smile to me, she said, "Hello, can i help you?"

"I'm Farah."

"Oh, right. We've waited for you. Come with me please."

"Sure, thanks."

Finally we get in a room with some lonely unused desktops and some people were using laptops. The employee invited me to sit down beside her. She turned my macbook on and started explaining everything I needed to know about the mac.

Until a guy caught in my sight.....

I think I know this guy.

1 sec. 2 sec. 3....

HIM.

And that name eventually ran on my mind. Running through every blood cell, my very brain.... My very heart. I could feel it stop beating.

Our glance met each other's. I reflexly looked away. And my heart started beating again. I really was surprised, yet super excited though. I couldn't make any of my neck muscles move to his direction. I got.... I don't know, mad at myself?

Well, what could I have done? I guess breathing in was the best way to calm myself.

After 2 hours and a half of training, I was finally done. I thanked my trainer and packed my mac. I, still hadn't have the guts to look into his direction. So I just... walked into the lobby.

And when I saw out of the windows, I said to myself, "Dang, it's raining."

A clearing throat sounded behind me. I looked to the source. It's him again.

"Uhmm, Farah ya?"

"Err, iya, eh elo... Abi kan?"

"Iya hehe, hmm sendirian?"

"Iya, harusnya gue dijemput, supir gue gatau nih kemana. Gak bisa dihubungin. Mana ujan la..."

"Mau gue anterin?"

"Eh?"

"Mau gue anterin gak?"

"Lo gapapa? Rumah lo dimana emang?"

"Gampanglah, gue bawa mobil kok."

"Yaudah. Ehm, makasih ya Bi."

"Bener ya?" He made a cute little grin, oh I was so in heaven.

Before I could've answered, he took his jacket off and put it around me. He took my left hand, "Yuk!"

"Eeeeh!" I protested but what could I do? We were already under the heavy rain.

He took me to his car. Whoa it was Volkswagen New Beetle. And it was black. So cute! He opened the door for me, I gave him his jacket back. He said no and ran through the rain to his door.

I could see his silhouette from the car. I can't help but smile. The best smile I never knew I could make.

Brukk. Dess. Brukk. His door opened and closed again.

"Yah, lo jadi keujanan deh. Sorry ya, Bi?" I said.

"Gapapa kok beneran deh, hatch-shooo!" He sneezed.

"Eh, tuh kan sakit lo. Punya tisu gak di mobil?" I said while I was combing the back side of his car. "Nih."

"Makasih."

Finally he started the engine and after a few minutes, we were already on the big road. He turned on the CD player. Boys Like Girls' Thunder was on.

Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder

Oh, he sang. To me?

That was a long journey from Menteng to Pejaten, my house. It took 2 hours to get back home. But I really didn't want to leave... Then we arrived in front of my house.

"So..." He put his chin on top of the steering wheel and looked to my direction.

"Ehmm, makasih ya, Bi."

"Iya, Far. Sama-sama ya." He replied, soft.

"Ngg, ya. Yaudah, gue turun ya. Bye, Biii."

"Eh eh!" He took my right arm this time, "I had a great time driving you home. Uhm, nomor lo dong?"

"Me too, Bi. Hehe. Nih kosong lapan...."

After giving my cell number, I stared at my arm and found out that he was still holding it. I laughed, he noticed and laughed too. "Sorry, sorry."

"Haha gapapa elah, santai. Yaudah gue turun beneran ya Bi? Haha makasih lagi lho."

"Haha okay, bye"

"Bye" I jumped off the beetle. I stood in front of the house fence.

He pulled his window down and said, "See you soon."

I smiled... And realized that his jacket was still with me. Yeah, see you soon...
